What happens

Step by step

    Assessment

    The surgeon decides whether it needs removing, draining, or watching.

  2. 02

    Anaesthetic

    Local anaesthetic.

  3. 03

    The procedure

    Removed in a short appointment. Anything suspicious is sent for histology.

  4. 04

    Results

    Histology results come back within two weeks and we contact you either way.

Afterwards

Recovery

  • Mild swelling and bruising for a few days
  • Ointment for one week
  • Stitches dissolve or are removed at one week
  • You will hear from us about any sample sent, regardless of the result
