What happens
Step by step

Assessment
A full examination with the surgeon who will operate, including scans and measurements. You leave with a written plan and a fixed quote.

Anaesthetic
Usually local with sedation.

The procedure
Either a minimally invasive stent or a trabeculectomy, depending on how much pressure reduction you need.

Close follow-up
Reviewed within days, then repeatedly over the first three months.
Afterwards
Recovery
- Vision is blurry for two to six weeks
- Drops change often in the early weeks — follow the newest schedule
- No heavy lifting or straining for a month
- Expect several follow-up visits; they are how pressure is tuned
