Step by step
- 01
Assessment
A full examination with the surgeon who will operate, including scans and measurements. You leave with a written plan and a fixed quote.

Anaesthetic
Drops numb the eye. You stay awake but feel no pain; light sedation is available if you would rather be drowsy.
- 03
The procedure
A 2mm incision, the clouded lens broken up and removed, and the new lens folded into the same capsule. Usually 20 minutes.
- 04
Same day home
You rest in recovery, the eye is checked, and you go home with a shield and a drop schedule.
Recovery
- Vision is hazy on day one and clears over several days
- Drops four times daily for four weeks
- No swimming or gardening for two weeks
- Most people drive again within a week
